Vacation Rental Description: (Please contact us for availability due to occasional multi-faceted use of the property) This vacation house is on the shore of a quiet, secluded lake and is located less than 20 minutes from Elk Mountain Ski Resort, and close to the scenic village of Montrose. The opportunities for skiing, hiking, fishing and boating make time spent relaxing with family and friends that much more memorable. The natural beauty and small town atmosphere add to the luxury of this quiet vacation spot. The house underwent an inside and outside complete renovation in 2004-2005 including the addition of steam showers and a 600sq/ft deck that leads out to the private dock. Because this is a private lake, public boating is not allowed. This keeps privacy high and results in an uncrowded lake for the enjoyment of fishing, swimming, kayaking, rowing, canoeing and sailing. We take pride in living in harmony with our surroundings, which is why we practiced several green and sustainable living methods in the design /building process. We used Hemlock and Spruce trees harvested locally and from the property, for the hardwood floors and trim. Also, Hydronic radiant-heated floors and natural lighting have helped increase energy efficiency and comfort throughout the house. For those looking for a beautiful, quiet setting, and luxurious, modern vacation rental close to Elk Mountain this is a perfect retreat. Flexible Design for One Family or Two Families: Rent either one floor or both depending on size of group Four Bedrooms + fifth bedroom or 'Attic Loft.' 2 Full Kitchens 2 Full baths Sleeps 9-12 people comfortably After the Labor Day Holiday, with some exceptions, we also welcome companies(corporate families) for gatherings, retreats, and conferences, on a two day use, or for multiple nights. We also can provide 'cool heat indoor cedar cabins' in the summer, and in the winter, you can call them 'radiant heat therapy indoor private cabins'. They are a phenomenal way to relax, cleanse, and rejuvenate your whole self and are much more beneficial, than a spa or hot tub. Use of these can be negotiated into a final price since they are not included in the basic rental fee. |
